It is strange how one comes across books very suitable for the situation one is in. After having sent my PhD application I went past the university bookshop and found Stephen Fry's Making History from 1996 which I had not read.
Reading about a PhD student who believe that his history thesis is finished, whilst his supervisor does not agree, feels like a good read even though I have not had any disagreement with my supervisor. As I now only have two weeks untill my viva I have the same feeling of nearly there.
